The 2020 National NDIS Conference: working towards a better future through partnerships and co-operation is designed to provide organisations, service managers and front line workers in the disability sector the opportunity to network, discuss and share information in regards to the successes and challenges they have experienced in the roll out and the implementation of one of Australia’s largest social policy reforms, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) which aimed to provide the person living with a disability, better choice and control over their own lives, their own care, empowering them to make decisions to address their needs and wants.

The Sydney based regions of the National Disability Coordination Officer (NDCO) Program support a number of Vocational Support Networks (VSNs) in the Sydney metropolitan area. The VSNs were originally started and organised by Department of Education Support Teacher Transition (STTs) to bring together stakeholders involved in the transition process for school leavers with disability. As the networks grew in strength, steering committees were established to help ensure the sustainability of the networks.
