Local Councils can:

  • raise awareness about accessibility and universal design in their community and publicly recognise and reward local businesses that have won their annual access award
  • publish a printed local government area access guide that provides opportunities for increased tourism in their LGA, especially from seniors (Grey Nomads)
  • use Access Aware to help meet their local government disability obligations
  • collect evidence based results that demonstrate a commitment to and implementation of access strategies in council Action Plans

Corporate Subscribers can:

  • increase their customer base
  • be recognised by the public as a company that invests in social capital

Community Peak Groups can:

  • offer a tailored access directory for a particular audience or interest, without the significant overheads of developing the software
  • help promote full inclusion for people with access difficulties to all their stakeholders through education and information as a peak organisation
  • add a valuable community resource to their organisation that further enhances equitable, dignified access for all members of the community
